Many pro-democrats dislike the Chinese Communist Party and are outspoken against it, but Jack Dorsey’s call to end it is quite bold.
On Saturday, August 6th, 2022, co-founder and former CEO of Twitter – Jack Dorsey – took to Twitter and called for the end of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Dorsey stated his opinion while retweeting a CNN reporter’s post on Twitter. Citing the post, Dorsey called out against the strict Covid-19 pandemic obligations and condemned CCP.
In June, 2022, a CNN reporter from Beijing posted a video on Twitter. In this video, the reporter explained the strict and rigorous regulations imposed in China due toCovid pandemic. She detailed how she had to go through constant testing and a compulsory health app installed on her phone. The app was to let the authorities keep track of people.
While posting the video, CNN reporter noted that the surveillance would stay for long even after the COVID breakdown. Jack Dorsey retweeted in the response of her tweet saying – ‘End the CCP’.
As per the reports, the health app that mentioned the video post of a reporter indicates if a person is allowed to go out or not. Different signals showcasing green, yellow and red lights represent permission and restrictions. A green light on the app, tells the person is fine and free to go out. Yellow shows the danger of infection while going out where red clearly restricts movement and suggests quarantine.
Most of the controversies of CCP’s Covid-19 Pandemic obligations revolve around this so-called health app. Several reports outlined many people claiming the app uses personal information, tracks the location and monitors every movement all the time.

The Chinese Communsit Party is infamous for their surveillance tactic on their own citizens. For instance, CNN reported earlier a person putting such allegations on the government for tracking the activities and restricting him.
The person was a resident of Henan Province of China. He observed his health parameters are showing green, signaling he was allowed to move out. But the codes abruptly turned red during mid June.
