On August 15th, 2022, Cardano based NFT minting and payment protocol, NMKR announced collaboration with Input Output Global (IOG) via blog post. Cardano’s NFT infrastructure and parent company of Cardano blockchain came together to enhance NFTs experience over the network. The deal between both the entities would also act towards driving awareness and adoption of digital collectibles.
According to the blog, NMKR provides distinct services over the Cardano blockchain including minting services and drops of white label NFTs. Additionally, the infrastructure also enables the integration and shifting of NFTs and related services between Cardano network and different blockchains. It also created a Minting API specifically for the newly developed NFT ecosystem.
NMKR further noted their goal is to make minting and engaging with NFT easier and possible for everyone. After the collaboration, it added, the system will see an integration of a payment option in fiat. The deployment of this feature will make users pay for their digital collectible purchases in both crypto and traditional currencies. Moreover, participation in an NFT sale will also become easier where anyone with least knowledge of crypto space could purchase non-fungible tokens.
Executives Welcoming the Partnership
NMKR CEO, Patrick Tobler showed his excitement after the partnership with the NFT infrastructure firm with Input Output Global. He put on his belief that blockchain developer firms hold a significant experience in blockchain space from building them to deploying projects over it. Their invaluable experience would be helping NMKR towards achieving their goal of widespread NFT adoption over the Cardano network.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson also greeted the NMKR and IOG collaboration. He said this as a crucial step from their company and mission of building a better future with the help of technology. He also praised efforts of the NFT protocol as they are involved in developing infrastructure for minting and payment while focusing on making NFT in reach of everyone.
