XCM DOT Autostake: Winner of Polkadot Hackathon North America

  • On September 18, 2022, Polkadot shared a Tweet in which it announced the project winner.

Polkadot, a layer-0 protocol and multi network, provides security, scalability, and interoperability to a diverse network of layer-1 blockchains. Polkadot Hackathon North America Edition, is the second series of hackathons that brings the cutting edge of blockchain to a global community.

This event is open to all (individuals and teams) across the globe, either for any experienced blockchain dev or any new-comer in the blockchain ecosystem. It basically focused on the Substrate, Polkadot, and Kusama with its several advancements.

Entity 54, won the grand prize by developing a decentralized application (dApp) “XCM DOT Autostake,” at Polkadot’s North American Hackathon. The winning projects will solve the current problem of a user who manually manages their DOT asset holdings on multiple parachains if they want to stake DOT for liquid DOT in the Acala ecosystem.

Additionally, in the Twitter Thread Polkadot announced the winners from different categories.

Category-wise Winners of Polkadot Hackathon North America

This hackathon comes with five categories: Interfaces & Experiences; DAO & Governance; Web3 & Tooling; DeFi; and NFT. In which Diora Network, Rooster DAO, Shivarthu won top-three in the DAO & Governance category. RoboFi, Polkadot Acala aUSD Credit Card, Humidef won top-three in the DeFi category. Moonbridge, Subsocial Substrate StackExchange, Polkadot Point of Sale Terminal won the top-three in the Interfaces & Experiences category. KodaDot: Moonsamal, Sociable Weaver, and Ventur NT-NFT Pallet  won in the top-three category of NFT. And, PostThread, Next Step, and SamaritianOS: A DID-based Web3 Cloud Access Layer won in the top-three category of Web3 & Tooling category.

Polkadot is attracting more developers with its hackathon, across the globe and became the second largest community of developers in 2021.
