- Vulcan raised $8M with the help of Sky Bridge Capital in Series A funding round.
Through their official press release, Vulcan Forged informed that it has successfully collected $8 million funds in the seed round of fundraising organised by Skybridge Capital and has the option of investing an extra $33million in a blockchain game developer and incubator.
As per the information in the press release, Vulcan Forged will use the funds collected to boost the development of its patented metaverse-as-a-service engine MetaScapes. The company will also focus on its expansion in North America and aim to capture a major market suitable for the Metaverse and its growth.
The recently launched product of Vulcan Forged MetaScapes has been in the limelight after its unprecedented success in gaming projects like VulcanVerse, Arena, and Berserk. The product model will let users prepare an outlet and develop their Metaverse land as similar services offered by popular giants Epic Games leading Web2 game developer platform Unreal Engine.
Although on Wednesday, Vulcan Forged mentioned in their press release that ‘MetaScapes’ will also offer users to store their data in the form of NFTs(Non-Fungible Tokens).
Vulcan noted that it foresees its Metaverse as a service engine as a strong tool that will help “gamers to create their own Metaverse with the click of a button and experience the power of creating a virtual world without any coding required.”
The Vulcan expects that its MetaScapes will closely compete with the free-to-use gameplay of Microsoft and developer platform Minecraft after its launch.
Jamie Thomson, Founder and Chief Executive officer of Vulcan Forged, highlighted that “Vulcan Forged has experienced rapid organic growth over the last two years—having expanded from two employees to over 130 and attracting over 200,000 users across 15 games and dApps without outside capital.”
