One of the foremost manufacturers of mobile phones in the world, Nokia is foretelling the downfall of smartphones with the advent of metaverse in the game. But not completely, the role of smartphones will be shaved. But metaverse can become the major form of communication in the second half of the decade.

With the soaring craze for augmented reality devices, Nokia feels that there will be huge demand for such devices in the time ahead that will ultimately incline more audience towards metaverse

Nokia was famously known for the first fully automatic cellular phone systems, after which Nokia has grown into an advanced technology company, which also focused on developing facial recognition utilized at some airports, etc.

With 21.85 billion euros of total sales in last year, working in more than 130 countries with a manpower of more than 92,000. In order to accomplish huge plans, Nokia is making a new team in North Texas in recent years to gain momentum in the metaverse economy.

“Our belief is that this device will be overtaken by a metaverse experience in the second half of the decade.”- said Nokia’s Chief strategy and technology officer, Nishant Batra. But according to him, there are few factors that are needed to improve in order for the success of a metaverse oriented virtual world.

About Nokia’s Digital Destination

As the executive has explained before about the importance of price and forms in accordance with consumers rather than organizations. He stated- “Widespread adoption of the technology from both corporations and consumers will be critical for it to really take off, and this will also depend on the availability of affordable, ergonomic wirelessly connected VR and AR devices.”

On Tuesday, at the Brooklyn 6G summit, Batra said-  “There won’t just be a metaverse, there will be many, each connecting and catering to different parts of society but not without advanced networks.”

Also the cost of the popular metaverse headset, Meta has shooted up to $400 in the month of July. As its demand is increasing, due to the referencing of augmented reality and virtual reality technology, the typical combinations of metaverse are headsets, glasses, etc.

Talking of the monetization of the metaverse is something which seems to be difficult to gain, it will solely depend upon various use cases for metaverse devices and experiences. In comparison to industrial usages, many of the cases are already out for use.

The CSTO Nishant Batra said- “The adoption of every generation is faster than the generation before, not just by a bit, It’s exponentially different.”
