- 1 BAYC yesterday closed the sewers and also officially ended the “Toad Mode,” a limited-time Dookey Dash event.
- 2 Earlier this year, Yuga Labs introduced Dookey Dash.
BAYC’s Dookey Dash is a monkey poop game where the player travels through a sewer system in search of a treasure box. The game collected mixed reaction as the community has shown their interest with high spirit for the game on social media platform. While it also experienced criticism because many believed that the game brought nothing unique.
The game follows the storyline which explains the reasons and also justify the player to swim through the sewer.
Dookey Dash officially closed
On March 2nd, the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) tweeted that “Dookey Dashers, the Sewers have closed and the Toad Mode leaderboard is now locked. We will begin reviewing scores and share a notice once review is complete on March 7th, 2023.”
BAYC further mentioned in the tweet that “Sewer Pass metadata will update to show whether or not the companion trait was earned once review has finished. N/A passes that registered a run in Toad Mode will have their metadata Ranked trait updated from No to Yes to show they are eligible for the summoning.”
BAYC also added the warning in its tweet as “buying Sewer Passes on secondary before the final review is complete IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Be aware that doing so risks buying a Sewer Pass that is later linked to cheating and has its Toad Mode ranking reset.”
Additionally, the Sewer pass can summon a Power Source ranked lower than the current Dookey Dash leaderboard if users’ score is solely based on playing Toad Mode.
Yuga Labs that founded Dookey Dash noted, “the top 500 score runs from Toad Mode will receive a companion trait to their Power Source. 2000 additional companion traits will be awarded to the 2,000 players who collected the most Toad Points, without duplicating anyone who was top 500 overall.”
Even if a Sewer Pass has a top-high score for both the entire run and Toad Points, it can only hold one companion at a time. Thus, after the Toad Mode results are determined, any passes marked “N/A” will not be permitted to participate in The Summoning.
Earlier this week, the one-of-one “Golden Key” was earned by receiving the highest score on Dookey Dash last month. Then Twitch streamer Kyle Jackson, who is known by his pseudonym Mongraal, “sold his winning Dookey Dash key for 1,000 ETH or about $1.6 million.”
It must be noted that Mongraal initially listed the pass at 2,222 ETH or about $3.6 million on OpenSea. He also “refused smaller-but-notable offers from the United Planets DAO (UPDAO) and user-generated meme site 9GAG.”
