What good is a metaverse if the people are unable to find other individuals in it. Users even have complained in the past that they find it hard to be in a virtual space that appears lonely. A digital twin needs digital people in it and Nvidia, a multinational technology company, is working on intricacies of the metaverse to solve such issues.

AT&T Among The Early Access Users

In their latest blog Nvidia explains that they will work with early-access users to make improvements that will help developers to deploy digital avatars using their Omniverse Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE). Quantiphi and AT&T are among the companies to initially experience how this system can help upscale productivity.

According to Nvidia Blog, AT&T, a global telecom service provider, will utilize the platform to deploy virtual assistants to enhance their customer services. Moreover, the initiative will also help the telecom giant to deliver a better experience to its global user base. AT&T is also among the leading 5G network providers globally. Technologies like 5G will become an integral part of the metaverse.

On the other hand Quantiphi, an AI company, will use the platform to deliver more immersive services in the metaverse. According to the company’s global head of Nvidia Practice, their Nvidia’s Tokkio framework is immensely useful in deploying, building and personalizing digital assistants for their users. The combination of speech recognition, real-time animation and more have been simplified using the framework.

Nvidia’s ACE delivers the necessary tools to create a human-like metaverse avatar. Furthermore, these AI-driven avatars can easily be customized according to the enterprise and the customer needs. Artificial intelligence is currently the talk of the town with several industry titans trying to get an upper hand using this technology that can potentially drive the future.

Recently, Microsoft announced that their latest AI-based tool will help users generate images from text on the Edge browser. The feature is dubbed Bing Image Creator and is powered by DALL-E, an OpenAI program to create images using artificial intelligence.

Meta (formerly known as Facebook) has also turned their face towards AI. It is noteworthy that the company rebranded their name in 2021 and turned their focus on the metaverse. However, the organization’s investment in the metaverse research did not prove fruitful, leading the company to lose around 70% valuation in a year.

The metaverse is still in its infancy but companies like Nvidia, Apple, and more are developing tools to bring this concept to life. With ACE, Nvidia, in collaboration with others, can help people to get more familiar with virtual spaces through digital twins.
