The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), is a unique collection of 10,000 Bored Ape Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). These BAYC NFTs are unique digital collectibles that are built on the Ethereum blockchain. The NFT collection gained massive influence in 2021, as some celebrities showed their support for the NFT collection. Tom Brady, Madonna, Ben Simmons, Justin Bieber, and Jimmy Fallon are some celebrities who own BAYC NFTs.
Yuga Labs is behind the Bored Apes collection. It has also created another NFT collection – Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC). This is a collection of about 20,000 Mutant Apes. It can only be created by exposing an existing Bored Ape to a vial of MUTANT SERUM or by minting a Mutant Ape in the public sale.
The Sale of BAYC 9061 Token
According to the information sourced from OpenSea, an NFT marketplace, Bored Ape Yacht Club 9061 sold for 71.47 ETH or $128,474.47. “The value of Bored Apes is determined by the attributes of Ape, along with the laser eyes, crown, and golden fur attributes being the most coveted.” This sale of BAYC 9061 was done from the NFT wallet address of SonnyF to 06800A.
Following this NFT sale, BAYC 9061 was sold again, this time for 62.500 ETH from the wallet address of D91EF0 to DM_For_OTC_. It must be noted that this BAYC 9061 NFT is owned by DM_For_OTC_. At press time, its current price is 66.42 ETH ($121,039.16).
HV-MTL NFT
On March 30, BAYC shared a glimpse of the HV-MTL collection on Twitter. According to HV-MTL, “it just landed in the BAYC swamp.” It also states that “the HV is an unique, dynamic NFT that evolves based on the user’s decisions.”
A recent report by NFTCULTURE, states there are 30,000 HV-MTLs in the BAYC swamp. This marks the beginning of “an exciting new chapter for the expanding universe.” These dynamic NFTs called “HVs (pronounced Heavy),” have been summoned through a mysterious space-time Rift.
As space-time, Rift is believed to play an important role in an upcoming cosmic battle. As a part of the broader narrative, this new phase, titled “It Came Through the Rift,” is set to begin in April, with the release of an associated game anticipated in May.
