December 12, 2024: Reeve Collins, the co-founder and CEO of Tether, shared his views on blockchain technology at the Global Blockchain Show, in Dubai.
In the first slide of his presentation, Collins added a quote written by Victor Hugo – “There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world, and that is an idea whose time has come.”
The Web3 leader, Reeve Collins believes that blockchain technology is revolutionary. It is connecting the world in an efficient manner. “The blockchain has been extremely efficient, and the reason it has taken so long is that the government is trying to maintain control,” he said.
Collins discussed that the government is trying to maintain control over the technology and slow it down. However, the technology has brought revolution and people are demanding it because “the genie is out of the bottle.”
The digital pioneer, Reeve Collins believes that the government cannot stop the blockchain revolution and all they can do is get on board. He discussed how the Bitcoin price reached its $100,000 value, and countries are buying it. “Strategic BTC reserve is leading the charge,” he said.

Reeve Collins and His Plans
Reeve Collins is a digital pioneer and a leader in the Web3 industry. Tether, a stablecoin, is his first blockchain venture, which stands among the top 10 most traded assets in the world.
Collins is an investor in 100+ companies, and he joined the 22nd Edition of the World Blockchain Summit this year. He spoke about his vision of why he believes that blockchain technology will be a driving force of change in consumer habits and how the scenario has changed after the blockchain innovation.
Before the Summit, Collins said, “Blockchain is the foundation of our future and Web3 will shift the way we engage and interact with each other and the world.”
Apart from co-founding Tether, Collins also co-founded BLOCKv, which managed to raise $22 million in an Initial Coin Offering to deliver the world’s leading smart NFT protocol.
