A User Account Gets Blocked By Binance On Requests By Ukraine Police

Recent news suggests that a client has lost his access to funds. Along with it, the possibility of withdrawing the cash after receiving into the USDT account purchased has also stopped.

The account is under the name of Alexander M. the Binance Exchange has blocked it. The account has restricted access to his funds. Along with it, it also has been excluded from the possibility of their withdrawal.

The reason for this, as stated, is that the trading platform called the request of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. The client had told RBC that the Crypto that he had was a citizen of Russia. It also claims that he did not conduct any activities in the territory of another country.

The user considers the possible reason for the blocking of the account to be the receipt of USDT into his account. Later in December, Alexander had bought cryptocurrency from a friend for cash, and no access to his account is also limited.

As stated by Alexander, he had bought USDT for cash on December 23. He further added that he sent cash from his Binance wallet. A few weeks later, his account was blocked.

To resolve the issue, Alexander had appealed to the support of the exchange. They demanded from him a video with a passport and a request to unlock the account. After fulfilling the requirements, Alexander received an answer that the question of lifting restrictions would resolve within 30 days.

The case of Alexander is not the only one. Post this, several other users immediately reported to RBC-Crypto about such locks, but they are not related to the appeal of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.

The head of Binance and CIS, Gleb Kostarev, had confirmed the presence of this problem. He also noted that such locks at the request of authorities could occur, and had asked not to sue FUD.

He had also added that the support service had already contacted the user and would inform about further steps.
