The newly formed subsidiary of Facebook, Calibra, has lately been working towards providing financial services which can help people access and participate in its Libra network.

The company is still on the early steps of developing Calibra and are hunting for talented, passionate, and deserving people to join their workforce.

Currently, they are busy hiring a product manager for the Calibra wallet. They require someone who can lead the idealisation, the technical development, as well as the launch of innovative peer-to-peer (P2P) payment products.

The work of a person chosen for the post will have to drive product development along with a team of engineers and designers. They all will combine usability studies, investigating, and market analysis into product requirements.

Apart from this, the manager also needs to understand that the product is going to be in a strategic as well as competitive position. It will also maximise the efficiency in an environment which is dynamic or continuously changing.

As said, the minimum qualification for the role is over five years of product management experience. The qualification preferred is BA/BS in Computer Science or any related technical field. He or she should also have experience with customer support or financial services platforms as well as technologies.

The project Libra aims to create global financial infrastructure, which will empower the population globally. This social media digital currency planned to launch this year.

As per an analyst form Fortune, the introduction of Libra can also see as very similar to Apple’s introduction of the iOS to the developers a long time ago.

The first product which will be released by Calibra will be available in 2020 as a stand-alone app on Messenger and WhatsApp. This app will allow its users to send Libra to anyone who owns a smartphone. You can also send messages and photos at a very low or no cost at all.

In addition to it, the company is also planning to offer additional services like buying coffee with the scan of a code. It will also provide riding local public transit without carrying cash or a metro pass.

David Marcus, who is the co-founder of Calibra, while talking to Fortune, said that if he had a chance to do it all over again, he would probably be more focused on the actuality of this thing which according to him was a new payment system.
