Kyber Network has launched Hackathon called #KyberDeFi

Every time Kyber reforms in a Hackathon, they are very impressed by the quality of developers they get there. (Hackathon is a sprint-like event for computer programmers in which they work on software projects. Hackathon attracts software developers, graphic designers, interface designers, project managers and other domain experts). It is expected that till now in these Hackathons 220 developers have built around 50 Decentralized apps using Kyber. And interestingly Khyber has accepted them into their community.

Kyber Network has launched its own Hackathon called #KyberDeFi to encourage developers around the world about Kyber Network’s liquidity protocol and token swap technology. Kyber also wants to educate developers about the payment flows and decentralized or open finance called Defi products. The Hackathon will be held from the 9th of September to the 21st of October 2019. There are many Ethereum projects involved including tech partners like Chainlink, Compound, Melon and several others. Prices up to $42,000 United States Dollar (USD) can be worn along with special Khyber collectable NFTs. You can also participate in several bounties of Kyber as well as the various tech partners involved.

Participation method is very simple. You can participate individually or in teams by registering yourself on Devpost. (Teams cannot consist of more than five members). Kyber community will add you to their Hackathon Discord chat and from there you can get the various details and read the various relevant documentation that is required.

Here are some of the documentation required to be fully eligible for the participation in #KyberDeFi Hackathon.

Decentralized app or platform that incorporates decentralized or open finance called Defi using at least one of the following:

  • Kyber’s Liquidity Protocol
  • Tech partner technology
  • Kyber’s Liquidity Protocol and technology from one (or more) of the Tech partners

There are a few things that you need to keep in mind:

1. Mention the exact number of bounties that you are participating for. (You can participate in more than one Bounty.)

2. Submit the correct code base so that the judges can scan and use your Decentralized apps.

3. A video is required in which you are explaining your hack and how it performs. (This condition is not mandatory.)

Kyber has taken a great initiative to promote and encourage developers from around the world. They have been giving six weeks which is ample time for developers to come up with new and innovative ideas and grab the awesome prizes. The community hope that this will increase the Crypto adoption around the world. Khyber believes that each of these developers addS value to the blockchain and developer ecosystem.
