Search Giant Baidu Starts Censoring Crypto Discussions on Its Forums

Baidu, China’s leading internet search engine has as of late joined Alibaba and Tencent, removing itself from cryptocurrency in the midst of China’s crackdown. Baidu has now moved to censor crypto discussions on its online forum.

As per local news outlet China Times, Baidu has recently closed down a portion of its most prominent cryptocurrency related forums, known as Post Bar administrations. Among the discussions brought down are “crypto Currency Bar” and “Virtual Currency Bar.”

While finding down these discussions on the web, clients are welcomed with a message that peruses:

[This forum is temporarily closed] in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and policies.
