The Head of Product at Dash Core Group (DCG), Dana Alibrandi, has come up with the concept of changes through which DCG can approach future releases for the Dash Platform.  These modifications will make the releases more reliable, transparent, and predictable, bringing up superior activity from our expanding developer system.

DCG will release new updates approximately every six weeks

Meanwhile, the platform will release exclusive updates on Evonet for approximately every six weeks. The next release forecasted for the window is in between April 22nd-May 5th.

With the rapid development of technology, the releases of software boosted for swiftly generating feedback. The feedbacks will expose the assumptions made at the time of the design and implementation of software and thus, discarding the risk of dedicating too much time to unnecessary features.

It is much easier to release in a traditional centralized organization as the organizations possess the deployment system. While releasing and deploying to a decentralized environment creates a significant challenge in which any single entity does not own the deployment.

The software will be deployed to Evonet as per the proposed schedule

Hence, to increase release frequency, an exclusive environment is required. With the help of Evonet, the DCG can deploy exclusive software regularly without risking the authenticity of the mainnet. With this release, the DCG would better reduce the risk of bugs approaching progress and collect feedback from the developer community.

Now, the software will be deployed to Evonet as per the proposed schedule to deliver a handsome amount of new features with each exclusive release, a timeframe of 6 weeks has been taken. For the new process, the Dash Platform will be the only core product.

However, the transfer of data from one version to another is quite arduous, and to deliver core functionality, DCG had decided to decline data migration temporarily.

The current followers of Dash Core group development progress will be communicated about the future releases. DCG will communicate the entire product framework at the time of quarterly calls. The next call is scheduled for April 23, 2020.

As per DCG, the change in their release process signals the growth of the company. As time passes by, DCG is becoming more and more efficient and organized to realize the potential of the Dash network.
