Founder of the software company McAfee Associates and cryptocurrency Exchange McafeeDex, John McAfee, recently questioned the death rate of COVID-19 patients in Tokyo alongside in countries like the U.S. This computer scientist believes the coronavirus disease is greatly exaggerated. He is a free-spoken person and is well-known for raising his voice against numerous issues. He has also landed himself in controversies due to his quotes and interviews.
NYC has had 11,000 Covid deaths.
Tokyo, the World's largest and densest city, has had 93.
NYC is locked down.
Tokyo was never locked down.
Both have had the virus for the same amount of time.
Why is NYC's death rate 250 times higher than Tokyo's?
Something fishy here.

COVID-19 deaths in the world’s most populous city 250 times lesser than in NYC
Last week, John McAfee took to Twitter to point out the COVID-19 death count in Tokyo in comparison with New York City. It became hard for John to digest the fact that COVID-19 deaths in NYC were 250 times greater than Tokyo. And apparently, Tokyo is one of the world’s most populous cities. The COVID-19 death count in NYC was 11,000 whereas in Tokyo it was only 93. He found this very fact to be fishy. McAfeeDex Founder further justified his doubt by sharing how both these cities had the virus for the same quantity of time. Upon which he stressed the fact that Tokyo had never implemented lockdown.
The U.S. has a covid-19 death rate 7 times higher than the world average.
And NYC has a death rate 200 times higher than the world's 10 largest cities.
Could it be that the U.S. pays hospitals $39,000 for every patient diagnosed with Covid19?
Nah, forget it.
Couldn't be that.

At least 210 countries have become victims of the COVID-19 pandemic. This global pandemic has cost more than two lakh lives out of three million and more infected patients. Furthermore, in another succeeding tweet by John Mcafee brought to notice about the COVID death count in the US. The US witnessed a COVID-19 death rate nearly seven times greater than the global average. This is an astonishing fact given that two-thirds of the world never implemented lockdowns. However, a third of the world’s total countries under lockdowns are facing considerable economic losses.
A couple of weeks back, he also stated the reason behind such a huge death rate in NYC. He doubted if it is because the admittance charges $39,000 per patient in US hospitals.
