Akon, the R&B singer, has recently announced that he plans to make his virtual city in Senegal. This news has been one of the breakthroughs of recent times. He mentions that he intends to launch his new song along with the virtual city, the Senegalese town, which would be driven by the cryptocurrency, Akoin.
According to CNN, Akon had mentioned this plan of his at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2018. Akon was a resident of Senegal before he shifted to New Jersey and this is probably just a homage paid to the land. Akon believes that digital currency can help the lives of the people of Africa and improve their way of living.

This was the tweet that Akon posted on Monday. As mentioned the singer has planned to build a 2000 acre “Akon City”, in the West African Country. He mentions that the place would be somewhat the ‘Real-Life Wakanda’, something as shown in the 2018 movie, Black panther. This Akoin would entirely run the city.
These were the sentences which were said by the singer. Though the digital coin is not yet into the market, Akon and the Akon City are very much positive of the Akoin. So they also plan to expand this crypto.
The coin would be the legal currency and would use to establish credit, borrow money and access government services, etc. The coin is most likely to go live by February 2020.
The coin would be available in all the 54 African countries and is called the “uniting cryptocurrency for Africa.”I come with the concepts and let the geeks figure it out,” this was the statement made by him in 2018.
