Recently, a senior developer of the IOTA Foundation, Eric Hop described some remarkable differences between IOTA(Miota) and Ethereum Smart Contract. During a discord contribution, Hop tried to highlight the difference between IOTA and ETH Smart Contract.
Some Great Benefits of Ethereum Smart Contract
Hop stated that there are certain areas where Ethereum’s smart contract beats Miota. The developer compared the Ethereum smart contract and MIOTA in a Discord Channel. He mentioned that for high-value transfers, Ethereum smart contacts are better than IOTA.
Hop added that there are some applications where Ethereum Smart Contracts outperforms IOTA because the flexibility of former is a major drawback for such applications.
Hop also described that it is much safe to keep the money in Ethereum’s Smart Contract for a long duration.
IOTA Smart Contracts Over Ethereum
Regardless of this, the senior developer also pointed out some major benefits of IOTA’s smart contracts over its other counterparts. As compared to other blockchain counterparts, it’s smart contract protocol (ISCP) is much more effective, resourceful, and highly flexible.
Due to the above-mentioned features, IOTA’s smart contact offers cheaper transaction charges compared to other blockchain platforms like ETH.
Hop further described the advantage of the Internet of Things (IoT) that is used to record and execute transactions.
Besides this, the developer testified that the smart contract not only has an in-built machine (VM) but also it allows precise processing of SC code. This makes It fit in any type of change or extensions executed in the future.
However, compared with Ethereum, the other is not limited to recovering previous transactions before confirmation.
Moreover, Hop said that the Miota’s smart contract utilizes committees to find a consensus and send the results to the Tangle.
