According to the official announcement made by the Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri, the country’s cryptocurrency miners have to register within a month.
Register Mining Devices Within One Month
The Vice President stated that all miners required to disclose their identities. With mining farm’s size and type of mining device, they are using. The following details have to submit with the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade. A one-month relaxation provided by the government to register their equipment which will then release a list of licensed mining centers.
Meanwhile, the government instructed owners of the mining equipment obliged to convey all their devices to the mentioned centers. Either they need to apply for an activity license within one month from the date of declaration of the said list.
On the other side, the Ministry will also upload instructions on how to grant an activity license. Along with its port to the National Port Authority within a month of the announcement.
Iran’s relationship with cryptocurrency
Besides this, the delivery centers also needed to load the delivery receipt on the device. The government further stated that it is illegal to keep devices in unlicensed centers.
Recently, a parliament member from Tabriz appealed to the Central Bank of Iran to make a concern towards cryptocurrency as it has the potential to grow the economic opportunity for Iran. In 2018, Iran found that crypto mining as a legal industry for monitoring and regulating mining farms already operating in the country.
