Cryptocurrency exchange and custodian Gemini announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Blockchain, a digital investing platform for wealth managers to offer Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) with trading and storing services.
The Blockchain-Gemini solution will become a one-stop-shop for RIAs to buy, sell, and store digital assets within their client portfolios. This is quite relevant for RIAs with young investors who show a strong and growing interest in digital assets.
An Integrated Solution
The duo claimed that the solution is the first of its kind integration which combines Gemini’s exchange and custody solution with Blockchange’s BITRIA Digital Turnkey Asset Management Platform (DTAMP). This delivers an organized option for RIAs who want to expose their clients to crypto assets for improved returns and risk mitigation. Dan Eyre, CEO of Blockchain stated that Gemini is the perfect partner for Blockchain to offer digital asset management abilities to RIAs.
Recently, Quantum Capital Management, an investment firm which is actively in search of investment strategies has signed on the solution enabling it to manage a client’s digital assets. Using a separately managed account (SMA) approach, they are planning to offer management of digital assets. This is quite useful for firms with little to no knowledge of the digital asset environment to enter with confidence thus accelerating the asset class adoption.
Howard Aschwald, CIO of Quantum stated that even though they received a wide variety of options like investment trusts and hedge funds, they chose the Blockchange-Gemini solution as it is flexible and customized. By this, Quantum and other RIAs can actively and securely manage digital assets across the entire client bases.

Bitwise reported that there is an increase in the number of wealth managers who recognized the opportunity of strong returns from digital assets. Gemini plans on building solutions with the needs of wealth advisors and other professionals to pay a way where more investors get involved in this powerful network of digital assets.
