Fetch.ai (FET), an artificial intelligence lab based in Cambridge, has officially announced its mainnet v2.0 launch date. The entire community of FET is found very excited about the launch of the mainnet v2.0. Besides the mainnet v1.0 launch in 2019, the crypto world itself has come a long way. According to the announcement, the mainnet launch will be held on 31st March 2021. The project team also claimed that they don’t have any plans to delay the launch unless an apocalypse happens.

Mainnet v2.0 will bring faster transactions with lower fees
Fetch.ai has plans to bridge the gap between Ethereum based ERC-20 FET tokens and the native FET tokens on mainnet v2.0. The bridge will be allowing its users to move their tokens between the networks freely. According to Fetch.ai, the transactions on the upcoming mainnet will be processed faster with lower charges than the Ethereum network.
Moreover, the current staking program with ERC-20 FET tokens will continue. However, the FET token holders will also be provided with an opportunity to earn higher rewards by staking on the upcoming mainnet. It is also expected that the staking experience will also get faster, convenient, and easier with lower transaction charges.
What does the Q1 2021 technology upgrade aim for?
According to the Fetch.ai team, all the technological upgrades in Q1 2021 have the same goals. Indeed, the team wants to create a fully integrated system between the ledger and its frameworks. It is expected that the creation of such a system will bring ease for its community to build upon its network.
