New cryptocurrency project entitled Clarion will soon roll out by Dan Larimer. He is a serial blockchain entrepreneur and co-founded Block.One, the firm to build software behind the EOS blockchain. Late last year, Larimer departed from Block.One with the goal to build a free market. Since then, he has been learning to create more censorship-resistant technologies. Earlier this month, Larimer revealed in an official announcement regarding his upcoming cryptocurrency project entitled Clarion.
What does Larimer’s latest cryptocurrency project aim at?
Larimer’s upcoming cryptocurrency project is still in its early design stage. Indeed, the project’s goal is to offer a decentralized network that could replicate Twitter, Facebook, and other centralized social platforms. According to Larimer, Clarion aims to give everyone in the world the tools to broadcast their message to everyone without depending on centralized infrastructure.
It is expected that the project will become the first mobile decentralized social platform. And will support all types of social features from personal messaging, publishing content to Discord like voice chat rooms.
Larimer considered as the best to create “Big Tech Killer”
The announcement of the latest cryptocurrency project by Larimer made many sceptics in the community. Since he departed from Block.One, many consider him a project abandoner. Larimer departed from the previous project with the desire of starting his own project. Interestingly, the project left by Laminer is observed not to fare too well afterwards.
Still, Dan seems interested in the sector, which also is observing a growing list of competitors. Following the past experience of Larimer, many in the cryptosphere considered that he is an excellent candidate for designing a viable “Big Tech Killer”. Moreover, many are still questioning why the idea behind the latest cryptocurrency project couldn’t be implemented before while still, he was heading such projects.
When will the Clarion project begin operating?
The blockchain entrepreneur is currently planning to assemble a team of developers to create the first prototype. In a tweet, Laminer asked developers to join the Clarion OS project and, if interested, join the discussion on GitHub. Furthermore, as the project received significant interest in existing social platforms, many developers have already applied to help Larimer.
