Bitcoin has already attracted several prominent institutions and billionaires around the world. Recently, Øystein Stray Spetalen, a Norwegian billionaire, has also joined the Bitcoin investors’ list. Earlier, the billionaire had slaughtered Bitcoins north and down, and later, he changed his mind and moved towards the side of MiraiEx, a crypto assets exchange. However, it is confirmed that Spetalen had invested heavily in the digital asset, but the actual figure is yet to be revealed.
Is Bitcoin hostile to the environment?
Just a week ago, Spetalen considered Bitcoin as hostile to the environment. Moreover, he asserted that Europe’s regulators should outright ban digital assets. The billionaire stated that the only thing he observed is that BTC is consuming as much energy as Norway’s energy consumption, which is environmentally hostile. Spetalen also deemed that the world is doing well with the current payment system.
However, suddenly within a week of his statements came, the billionaire turned 180-degree towards the flagship crypto token. Indeed, it is known that his views changed after speaking with the founder of MiraiEx. Spetalen commented that he changed with the changes in facts and revealed that he met with the founder of MiraiEx, who made him realize that he was wrong. On the other hand, the billionaire got into Bitcoin after observing Kjell Inge Røkke, another Norweigian billionaire getting into Bitcoins.
Bitcoins have gained the attention of Norweigian investors
Kjell jumped first from Norway in the Bitcoin wagon and announced the establishment of Seetee. Seetee is expected to be focusing on investing in projects and firms throughout the BTC and blockchain ecosystem. The firm started with a purchase of 1,170 BTC and claimed that it is excited for the opportunities that could be brought by blockchain technology.
After Kjell, Spetalen jumped in the digital asset’s soaring wagon with heavy investments. Following these billionaires diving into the BTC market, it seems like soon other investors from Norway will start to take notice of the coin designed by Satoshi Nakamoto. The cryptosphere is excited after witnessing Bitcoin getting more mainstream attention worldwide.
