- April has the second-largest crypto web traffic numbers
- Binance contributes 40.84%
- March and February show a dip
Data from SimilarWeb suggests that cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide attracted a total number of 530 million visitors during April.
The Highest Web Traffic was in January 2018
As per the Block Crypto, the chart depicts that the number of visitors in April 2021 is the second largest at 531.2 million. The highest was in January 2018 at 531.7 million. As per the individual market shares, Binance increased its monthly share of web traffic from 20.08% in January 2018 to 40.84% in April 2021. Coinbase saw an increase of 16.64% to 17.65% from 2018’s January to 2021’s April. Coinbase saw a sudden spike of 19.43% in its web traffic in February. As of now, Upbit has a contribution of 4.45% in the monthly web traffic.
A major dip in March and February Crypto Web Traffic Number
However, data from the Block suggests that web traffic volume saw a major dip in February and March. In March, the web traffic was 395.2 million, and in February, it was 431.98 million. The total number of visitors in March 2021 was 8.5% less than in February 2021. However, March still records the third-highest for crypto web traffic numbers, followed by that of February 2018’s numbers.
However, the gradually increasing web traffic over the few months suggests rising investor interest. Over the past few years, the influx of customers in the cryptocurrency exchange has increased. Hence, the spike in crypto web traffic acknowledges the fact.
