Cryptocurrency has now become an instrument for charity. A child who has Leukemia was cured and supported in the form of more than $800,000 in cryptocurrency poured in for his treatment. Famous personalities in the crypto world and thousands of their followers chipped in with their donations in a matter of hours.
Theblockcrypto.com reports that a video was posted on a Twitter account of a kid who beat Leukemia and applauded as he returned to school. The brave heart’s video soon became viral and obtained 50,000 retweets and 500,000 likes.

Theblockcrypto.com added that an anonymous individual with a Twitter handle @Milkman2228 contacted the kid’s father and came to understand that he was having difficulty in settling the hospital’s bills of his son’s treatment. The Good Samaritan decided to help the father in distress, established an Ethereum wallet, and shared the address to his Twitter following.
Crypto Twitter celebrity ‘Crypto Cobain’ asked his followers to join and send both ether and Ethereum-based tokens to the ailing kid’s father. With a following of 347,000, ‘Crypto Cobain’ is not into the charity business and had given large sums to struggling artists. He recently collected and sent $200,000 to one guitarist.
The call did not go unheeded, and hundreds of individuals joined in. They were sending everything from stablecoins to tokens for DeFi projects. Theblockcrypto.com reports that Adam Cochran, partner at Cinneamhain Ventures, pitched in with 25 ETH while FTX CEO Bankman-Fried gave 12 ETH for the noble cause. The venture obtained $517,000 in ether and $292,000 in tokens.
