iamnotArt is Chicago’s first physical Non-Fungible Token (NFT) gallery. The gallery looks similar to any other boutique art gallery from the outside. Notably, the existence of the NFT gallery has been found in the Ethereum metaverse. We have observed a striking difference in the Chicago-born art gallery. The walls are embellished with screens that display bold, animated art pieces. Such arts include the jittery, single-line compositions of Sinclair to a creature-Esque amalgamation of iconic city sights by ProbCause.

iamnotArt NFT gallery is recreated in a metaverse

iamnotArt is the region’s first NFT gallery that opened in June. The exhibition has thus hosted a community-centric event. However, on Saturday, the first major exhibition of the firm was launched.

Moreover, the entire exhibition has been recreated in a game-like metaverse world. Displaying in the back wall with a feed pumping live footage from the real-world gallery to the game space. Each of the artworks in the gallery is a Non-Fungible Token minted on the Ether blockchain. Individuals interested in the art pieces can purchase a single edition piece for their collection.

How do NFTs help digital arts?

NFT are nothing more than a copy of the digital art on the blockchain network. Individuals purchasing NFTs receive a tokenized deed of ownership with the actual asset. Indeed, such a form of cryptocurrency enables digital artwork to be sold much similar to physical art pieces. Notably, individuals can verify the scarcity and provenance of an asset.

However, digital assets would still be copied and shared easily. Still, NFTs provide a method for such assets to give them value and support the creators behind them.

NFTs began to tread on ground

Unsurprisingly NFT coins can be viewed on digital devices. Moreover, such crypto-assets can be seen in virtual galleries that are being established in an online world. However, it is interesting to see such a gallery’s physical form in the real world.

Individuals can now visit physical exhibitions to witness the digital creations depicted on screens. Indeed, the Chicago-born exhibition has shown that art is art regardless of medium. Perhaps this medium could legitimize the particular among skeptics.

According to Chase McCaskill, the co-founder of the gallery, they want users to go there and feel like they know the artists, know the piece and have had an experience with it.
