Hence, as the currency is absorbed by more takers, there is the need for more miners to maintain more ledgers for its decentralized functioning.

It is noteworthy that in mining a cryptocurrency, a lot of power is consumed and the act of mining needs dedicated hardware. Power can be measured in the ability to perform one very detailed complex task or several similarly complex tasks. In the case of mining, the complex tasks are the same and ledger entries are the same, but it is for the corresponding transaction ids.
Conventional CPUs do not fit much as they are designed to multitask on many kinds of tasks. GPUs are made for this kind of computing. They give similar polygons and triangles many times, which is likely similar to mining crypto. GPUs are very efficient at updating multiple ledgers in computational times that CPUs cannot match.
Efficient cryptocurrency
Currently, Ethereum is considered to be an efficient cryptocurrency to mine. As miners stack up many GPUs in their rigs, gamers cannot get hold of the best gaming cards as they are being repurposed. Nvidia, for example, has half the mining rate on its new cards and bottle-necked their performance when mining. It means tasks are performed and also offers unique crypto mining processors.
