On November 2, a trading & payments company of cryptocurrencies, Crypto.com unveiled the deal of first-ever facilitated UFC NFTs to the world. The NFTs will be accessible to the world from November 4 and users can buy the tokens while the supply lasts.
In the month of July, at Madison Square, the president of the UFC Dana White announced a $175 million sponsorship deal with Crypto.com. The deal comes across as the biggest sponsorship deal of the organization to date.
The Co-founder & CEO of the Crypto.com Kris Marszalek expressed over the partnership and to the extent of which the company was excited to leverage the technology & to provide unique opportunities to the fans so that they can transact with the tokens of exclusivity & uniqueness securely.
Part & parcel of the Deal
The UFC’s new NFT series will include a rarity of collectibles such as event posters, fight night paintings, championship belts, avatars etc. The collection will be known as “UFC 268 packs” and will represent the bout “ UFC 268 Usman vs Convington 2”.
While the posters & belt design NFTs will be tailored around the fight. All tokens can be purchased through their native currency CRO or other popular cryptocurrencies via the already operational system. These supplies will be exclusively available on Crypto.com from November 4.
Apart from the NFTs the Crypto.com’s brand name will be featured on the fight kits and apparel worn by both the Athletes & training staff during the whole course of the competition. While both the parties of the deal consider it to be a historic moment, UFC has recognized the partnership under the new category known as “Cryptocurrency Platform Partner.”
The collaboration happens to be yet another significant move when it comes to the integration of the crypto world into the sports industry. The trading organization is targeting the UFC’s worldwide fan base of more than 625 million followers.
Apart from the UFC, Crypto.com has also partnered with various other celebrities like Matt Damon, a renowned actor for movies like Elysium for advertisements that could attract potential crypto investors & buyers. Furthermore, the platform has partnered with many others including Formula One, the Italian Serie A football league, and renowned & charming musician Snoop Dogg.
