Shiba Inu (SHIB) has been another meme-coin project that has made its investors billionaires. Over the past year, the coin witnessed its value growing and getting mainstream adoption. The coin has been criticized for a very long time for offering no utility and being nothing more than a joke. However, SHIB has proved that with a strong community, everything is possible. Indeed, the adoption of SHIB has steadily increased as it finds increasing use cases across various sectors. And now the DOGE killer is back in headlines as this time the most prominent crypto assets exchange of Europe has announced to list it by next year.

Shiba Inu sees mainstream adoption

Recently SHIB has been integrated by one of the largest cinema firms in the US, AMC Theaters. The firm has recently announced the addition of tokens as payments for tickets. A French deli has added Shiba Inu as a payment option, which also helped it attract more customers.

On the other hand, the coin has been listed on almost all the major digital assets exchange platforms. Last month itself, the coin was listed on leading platforms like Kraken and Gemini. And now, Bitstamp has announced that it will list SHIB tokens in 2022. Indeed, it is notable that Bitstamp is one of the oldest regulatory compliant crypto exchange platforms in Europe that was launched in 2011.

Why is Bitstamp delayed in the listing?

According to the initial announcement made by Bitstamp, the team behind the exchange had plans to list Shiba Inu on December 9th, 2021. However, the platform faced some technical difficulties at the time and was forced to delay the event. Moreover, in the tweet, Bitstamp highlighted that they had to postpone the listing as they were facing some technical difficulties with the integration. Bitstamp has provided an update on the listing and assured the community backing the project that their minds hadn’t changed and they will feature the digital token on the exchange in 2022.

Bitstamp’s announcement boosted its price

As Bitstamp tweeted to announce regarding the SHIB listing, the Shiba Inu price surged by more than 5%. At press time, the token has been trading near the price level of $0.00003286. However, the SHIB community, known as the SHIB Army, is still bullish that the listing on Bitstamp will boost the cryptocurrency’s price even more.

However, it is incredible to see that the transition of Shiba Inu from meme-coin has increased its acceptance and adoption.
