Adidas original NFT Collection made $60M in Sales in just 18 Days

  • Adidas introduced its Adidas Originals non-fungible token (NFT) collection less than 20 days ago and already has quickly risen to the top 50 NFT collections spot in terms of sales.
  • Adidas Originals has sold 14,781 ether, or $57.6 million.
  • Currently, the Adidas Originals NFT collection is ranked 49th-largest NFT project in terms of sales.

In less than 20 days, the Adidas NFT Collection has shown significant demand.

Adidas said it was “enthusiastic” about the metaverse towards the end of November 2021, and that the business has worked with Coinbase and acquired land in The Sandbox. The next week, Adidas announced a collaboration with the NFT project of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and the comic series Punks Comic. Adidas Originals NFT, a collaboration with Punks Comic, Gmoney, and BAYC, was released in mid-December.

Adidas Originals NFT collection is now the 49th biggest NFT collection

Since then, the NFT collection has sold successfully and propelled to the top 50 NFT collections. Currently, the Adidas Originals NFT collection has become the 49th-largest NFT project in terms of sales. Adidas’ NFT collection has seen 18,092 transactions between 13,801 buyers and 10,732 sellers. Since its inception, Adidas Originals has sold 14,781 ether, or $57.6 million.

Adidas Originals NFTs saw 18,770 sales and a total of 15,479 ether, or about $60 million, according to Dune Analytics. A single Adidas Originals NFT now costs 0.704 ether, or $2,729. However, today’s average sale is 0.747 ETH worth $2,896, and the biggest sale was on January 4, 2022, of 0.780 ETH worth $3,024.

Adidas joins the top 50 NFT collections in terms of sales

Adidas is one of the few well-known brands and corporate groups to have grabbed the spot in the top 50 NFT collections in terms of sales.

A great number of individual NFT initiatives have enjoyed far higher demand. Axie Infinity NFTs have sold $3.8 billion, Cryptopunks $1.8 billion, Art blocks $1.1 billion, and BAYC has now broken the billion-dollar milestone with 296,616 ether or $1,022,099,909 in total sales. The Adidas Originals ITM sales account for only 5.63 percent of the overall sales recorded by BAYC.

Punks Comic, Gmoney, and BAYC collaborated on the Adidas Originals NFT collection. Since then, the NFT collection has sold successfully, propelling it into the top 50 NFT collections. Currently, The Adidas Originals NFT collection has grabbed the spot of  49 largest NFT projects in terms of sales. Adidas’ NFT collection has witnessed 18,092 transactions between 13,801 buyers and 10,732 sellers. Since its inception, Adidas Originals has sold 14,781 ether, or $57.6 million. 

Despite the fact that the Adidas Originals NFT Floor is approaching one billion Ether, the collection’s sales still remain small in comparison to independent NFT collections.
