Google’s parent company, Alphabet’s CEO, stated his views and his company’s plans and workings on emerging web 3 and blockchain technology

On Tuesday, Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet, took a call stating about $20 billion revenue generation by the company in Q4. He made his comments on various technological aspects, including web 3 and blockchain. It was the first time CEO Pichai was putting his thoughts over the anticipated tech. He stated that he is watching the blockchain space and consistently looking at what values Google and Alphabet can add to the emerging technology that many people in Silicon Valley, known or unknown to him, are embracing.

CEO stated that he finds it exciting whenever there is any innovation. He said that the company wants to support the best it can. Many investors have flown their investment in companies working on projects of web 3 space. Web 3 is a vision or assumption of the internet which would be built around crypto and provide digital ownership.

Many big tech companies and big brand companies were looking their ways in such technologies, either Web 3 or blockchain. Companies like Meta Platforms Inc. and Twitter Inc., and many others have their plans to embrace the technology for their various operations. Be it payments, coins or incorporating services of digital tokens. Search engine giant remained silent throughout the time and didn’t disclose any planning or their working on blockchain and Web 3 tech.

Since Web 3 talks about a decentralized internet system where users will have ownership of their content and data. Many people think it would be a better alternative to the internet service we use today. Since Google is a big name in this internet service providing space, it’s considered why Google will support its Emerging rival technology anyway?

But Sundar Pichai’s take on these budding technologies has clarified many doubts about rumours and people’s considerations. After taking Alphabet CEO’s views in tech, he is more excited about it, just like everyone. He said it is an exciting and powerful technology with broader applications and use cases.

Lately, Google has been collaborating and cracking deals with companies working on digital assets. Besides, Google itself has started working on blockchain tech. Although neither Pichai mentioned cryptocurrencies nor his company seems to support it at present since there are no ads on and no crypto exchange service available on its payments service platform.
