After all, it’s a concern of public health. So authenticity is a priority to prevent its products from smuggling and ensure proper distribution of its supplies like vaccines and medications to avoid misappropriation.
Zuellig Pharma’s plan to use its eZTracker
Zuellig Pharma’s eZTracker would potentially resolve those issues simply because of the blockchain tech it’s based on. Every product would have an on-chain record of its movements from manufacturing to delivery, ensuring transparency all over the supply chain.
Data related to a product anytime, from its leaving company to deliver to the customer, can be tracked by both the company and the receiver. Since it’s blockchain-based, it would record the package’s real-time information without any delay. Security of on-chain data is undoubtedly most advanced to date, so the data is safe from any tampering or censoring with the will of smuggling.
Vice president and head of digital and data solutions at Zuellig pharma, Daniel Laverick, stated that apart from getting updates of products route and authenticity verification, users can have access to plenty of other information about products. With its app, every detail can be found, from the product’s expiry date to its temperature while traveling. Users can have actual information about the authenticity of a product on the go.
The company has over 1000 healthcare facilities across 13 countries all over Asia. Daniel is hoping that after implementing the eZTracker system as a monitoring tool, the company would have advancement, and it would help them position themselves better in the market of Hong Kong.
