More than 10,000 people attended one of the world’s largest expos in Dubai on Thursday, where crypto was on show.
There were representatives from BitMarkets, ByBit, and Bassam Muhammad Al Falasi, an advisor to HH Sheikh Butti Bin Suhail Al Maktoum, a member of Dubai’s ruling family.
A total of 100 crypto firms attended, with 90 presenters providing talks on bitcoin, Ethereum, and all things crypto.
The organizers said with CRYPTO EXPO Dubai 2022 Another day of networking, speaker sessions, and new business prospects await.
Two of the more notable attendees at the two-day event were Igneus Terrenus, the Head of Communications at Bybit, and Lennix Lai, the Director of OKex.
This is one of the most notable crypto events in Dubai, a country that has been attempting to promote and utilize blockchain technology since at least 2018.
Emaar, a property developer, has gone so far as to announce plans to issue a crypto coin in 2019.
That’s after others advised using bitcoin to purchase Emaar apartments in Dubai’s booming property market, which is even more volatile than cryptos.
As a result of being one of the first to attract this space, this two-day event could help to establish Dubai as a regional crypto powerhouse.
There are no taxes there, which has made it a favorite vacation for some of the world’s wealthiest people, with crypto gaining notoriety in the glitz and glam of the Arabian sun.
