These authorities include the Ottawa Police Service (OPS), Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and RCMP which are focused on recovering the BTC used by these anti covid 19 health mandate protestors. 

According to the article, Most of the nearly $1 million in known donations raised in the virtual currency for the Freedom Convoy appears to have evaded seizures by authorities over a month after the federal government invoked the Emergencies Act to freeze the convoy assets. 

Research signifies that hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Bitcoin that are associated with the protestors continued to move following the freeze orders. 

And the Royal Canadian Mounted Police responded highlighting that it has the potential to seize and recover digital currency assets, further highlighting the past cases where the Crown successfully prosecuted the crypto criminals.
