Zilliqa, the layer one blockchain protocol, recently announced the first Metaverse as a service (MaaS), namely Metapolis.
An IRLearly access event will support this recently announced metaverse project on April 2 in Miami. Meanwhile, the price of the ZIL coin reached $0.12, which marked around a 159% price surge in less than twenty-four hours.
The only way to get access currently is through a competition hosted on a Reddit post. The rewards include tickets to the event or a limited edition NFT or T-Shirt. And further information would be disclosed on Discord scheduled for Wednesday, 12 pm EST through a Metapolis AMA (Ask Me Anything), with the leaders’ team from Zilliqa.
This metaverse announcement is a bit distinct from the previous ones as Zilliqa has collaborated with Agora, a global talent awards app. Via this collaboration, the creators are facilitated so that they can upload the content to the Agora App and, through the community voting, can have their art added to the Metapolis metaverse. Presently, winners of the Agora awards get up to $150,000 in grants.
According to Sandra Helou, Head of Metaverse and NFTs at Zilliqa, they are excited about the partnership as they can bring creativity to life within the virtual world and open borderless access to creatives all across the world to connect the digital world. And that the partnership between Agora, Metapolis, and Zilliqa signifies that they are at the forefront of Web3 innovation.
The blockchain protocol has also partnered with some of the prominent esports organizations like Ninjas in Pyjamas, MAD Lions, and RRQ.
Development Factors of the Metapolis
The metaverse project would be developed on Unreal engine, Nvidia Omniverse, and Unity. The utilization of Unreal Engine would mean graphics like Fornite, Valorant, Gears of War, Street Fighter 5, etc.
Unity is a popular mobile game engine with around 45% market share in the world of mobile games. And the use of Nvidia Omniverse would nearly be used fine-tuned to the Agora collaboration to facilitate a smooth creation of 3D content and collaboration among the customers.
Metapolis would create virtual areas that match every one of its purchasers’ various needs and wants. For example, a world where customers can join with their favorite creators would differentiate highly from a world that would be there for interaction with sports activities groups.
