  • Martti Malmi aka Sirius-m is a popular software developer who was among the initial developers of Bitcoin alongside Satoshi Nakamoto.
  • Bitcoin is the first-ever cryptocurrency that was developed by Satoshi Nakamoto, whose whereabouts are unknown to this date.
  • Recently, Satoshi Nakamoto’s former second in command posted a Twitter thread, telling the users that the initiative was for a great cause.

Martti Malmi’s Foray Into Bitcoin Development

Martti Malmi’s life in Bitcoin started back in 2009 when he came across a little-known project on the Web. He instantly got in touch with Satoshi Nakamoto, asking him through a popular message, “I would like to help with Bitcoin if there is anything I can do.”

Bitcoin’s version 0.2 came to life with Malmi’s assistance. Which involved some of the most vital changes from crowned asset’s inception. Among them was the Linux support, since BTC was developed initially for Windows.

Additionally, Martti Malmi’s attempts led to the development of the initial Bitcoin Forum, which we know as Bitcointalk, the most well-known forum for crypto assets. Additionally, Malmi would be a vital element in the administration of domains Bitcoin(dot)org and Bitcointalk.

In a Twitter thread Martti posted in December, he stated that he regretted selling 55,000 Bitcoins, but regret was no bigger than the glorious purpose which was set in motion due to the initiative.

Bitcoin To Fiat Frontiersman

Among the well-known watershed moments in Bitcoin’s history was achieved by Martti Malmi, the initial Bitcoin exchange for fiat. This occurred during the beginning of the 4th quarter of 2009 when he offered hands in the creation of the BTC exchange, Liberty Standard.

At that time, Martti Malmi sent 5,050 Bitcoins equalling $505, which was sent to him via PayPal. This crypto exchange is considered as the initial BTC exchange all over the globe initiating crypto-fiat transactions, something that gave birth to platforms that we routinely use, like Bit2Me.

Back in 2011, Martti Malmi sold more than 10,000 Bitcoins (trading at $10-15 at that time), to get his hands over a studio apartment near Helsinki.

He thanked Satoshi Nakamoto for giving Bitcoin to this planet.

Satoshi And Martti’s Involvement in Bitcoin(dot)org

Bitcoin(dot)org was originally developed and registered by Martti Malmi and Satoshi Nakamoto. When Bitcoin’s father departed from the project, leaving the Bitcoin community orphaned, he gave the domain’s ownership to some more folks, to spread accountability and prevent any sole entity from simply taking command over the Bitcoin project.

From 2011 to 2013, the website was utilized for launching the latest versions of software we now know as Bitcoin Core. Back in 2013, the website was remodeled, adding several pages, listing more BTC software, and making a translation system.

Does Martti Malmi Know Where Satoshi Nakamoto’s Safe Havens Are?

It is worth contemplating that, if there were only a couple of developers of Bitcoin(dot)org, I don’t think that both the entities don’t know each other.

For the development of such an initiative, there must’ve been meetings conducted privately to keep everything contained. Communication is the key, and both the individuals would’ve communicated, or maybe, still be in touch with each other to keep the Bitcoin-related aspects growing.

If someone was Satoshi, then he would have some backup plan regarding something that he gave his heart to and would’ve stayed in touch with someone to make sure everything was right.

Or Were There Two Developers?

Let us not forget the fact that no single individual on this earth knows who Satoshi Nakamoto is. We even don’t know if the entity is a person or an organization. Some time ago, a trending meme using names of mammoth companies involving Samsung, Toshiba, Nakamichi, and Motorola stated that they might be involved with Satoshi Nakamoto. Reason? Just look at the initial words of these organizations. Sa-Toshi-Naka-Moto

A noteworthy fact in this post is that it also includes “Shiba” in Toshiba. Does this mean Shiba Inu or Elon Musk is involved with Satoshi Nakamoto?

This is just an opinion, but there’s this thought in my mind, that what if there’s no Satoshi Nakamoto, but what if the person we are thinking of as the second in command, is actually the commander himself? Who can say, but this is something worth giving a thought to.
