The “High” NFT

6 years ago, initial round of draft was capsized by the calculated launch of a video of Houston Texans’ offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil smoking marijuana with a gas mask and bong.

That video generated so much chaos and triggered a slip by Tunsil to no. 13, well below where he anticipated to go.

Now, Laremy is transforming that negative into a positive. He has made an announcement that he will be selling the gas-mask bong video as an NFT, with an element of proceeds going to Late Prisoner Project, which backs individuals incarcerated for cannabis offences.

Tunsil’s social media accounts were attacked, and the video was posted by the hacker just before the draft initiated. Laremy became 3rd tackle taken that year, behind Ronnie Stanley to Ravens at No. 6 as well as Jack Conklin to the Titans at No. 8. The video was reportedly the reason that kept Ravens from taking him to No. 6.

He debated for long regarding the scenario previous November. He said that, to this day, he plays with rage inside him, as there’s something to prove now, as the player is not receiving enough accolades he deserves due to the gas mask, he told a news website in an interview.

Still he suffered a lot as video added a kick to free fall.

As elaborated by sports website, ESPN(dot)com back in 2021, Laremy Tunsil wouldn’t have slipped this far, had something like that occurred now. Attitudes, laws, and most essentially NFL rules concerning marijuana have taken a shift considerably since 2016.

It is uncertain whether someone will pay a considerable amount of money for the authentic virtual video of gas mask bong moment. Regardless, it is undoubtedly a distinct piece of draft lore.
