Why did Vitalik Buterin Urging Elon Musk to support anti pandemic tools?

Ethereum co-founder has recently donated $4 million worth of UST to support UNSW for its initiative of developing an anti pandemic tech. 

Vitalik Buterin has been contributing to the initiative of the University of New South Wales, Australia, which is developing the tech to identify the Pandemic. Ethereum co-founder has provided the fund of approx $4 million worth of UST stablecoin to support the initiative. On top of that, Vitalik has now urged the CEO of Tesla Inc and SpaceX and multi-billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk to support this non intrusive technology developed by the university. 

Buterin made a request in his Tweet to Elon Musk soon after when the billionaire laughed at the joke of Dr. Eli David, who is the founder of Deep Instinct. The joke was that Musk should purchase the most reputed and international health-related committee, the World Health Organization, from Bill Gates’ Microsoft Corporation to ‘make it about health’. 

Vitalik Buterin said in his Tweet while mentioning Elon Musk that his support of this non intrusive anti COVID 19 technology would be appreciated very much. He went on to say that the world needs a healthy and sharp mind that recognizes that the measures for anti covid approaches have costs higher than usual, and there is a need to move beyond them.

In his post, Buterin added a link to Balvi Filantropic Fund, which is his newly founded charitable organization. A portion of about $100 million in meme coin Shiba Inu tokens has already been deployed in the organization. 

Ethereum’s co-founder last week said that decentralization is the future of biodefense mechanisms and being open, collaborative, and actually does not require weakening the livelihood and freedom of millions of people. 

The initiative for developing the EPIWATCH, which is the anti COVID tool that UNSW is focusing on developing such systems that would create early warning signs about pandemics while utilizing open-source data and artificial intelligence. The recent funding received by the University of New South Wales will be provided to the Shiba Inu Open Source Intelligence or OSINT, which is a new initiative by the Kirby Institute of UNSW.
