Currently, the company has two main devices that are Ucam and Pebble. Both the devices could be considered advanced versions of what we see the traditional cameras and GPS. The Ucam IOT device of IoTeX works like a traditional camera does but has a specialty that keeps your data safe and secure without compromising your privacy using blockchain technology. Pebble can be considered a device that lets you know the information around you, like Climate, Light, Location, etc., with utmost perfection without letting your private data being compromised, as the devices do.
On 21st May 2022, the developer team of IoTeX blockchain on Twitter announced the launch of IoTeX Mainnet v1.8 and what it would bring with this upgrade. The announcement outlined that now users of IoTeX blockchain’s native coin, IOTX, can stake the coin by using Metamask. It also mentioned that there would be improved robustness in the peer-to-peer network and multiple improvements in its API, and so many more changes will be there. The Twitter post said that the IoTeX blockchain Mainnet v1.8 would be activated on 30th May 2022.
