Cunliffe Being Bullish On The Crypto Market
Be it investors, journalists, or entrepreneurs, everyone is commenting on the hope and possibilities of cryptocurrencies and its future.
During the famous Point Zero Forum in Zurich, the Bank of England (BoE) Deputy Governor for Financial Stability Jon Cunliffe expressed his optimism about the future of crypto.
Cunliffe stated that the technology and trends behind crypto reminds him of the early internet era. Just like in the early 1990s, no one believed in the power of the internet about what technology can do.
Despite all of these, there were some companies just like Amazon and eBay, who didn’t give up, didn’t leave the ground and just continued to hustle. These were the companies that became multi-deca-billion dollar companies which basically runs the internet these days.
Statements Given By Cunliffe
Cunliffe said that:
“The analogy for me is the dot-com boom when $5 trillion was wiped off values.
A lot of companies went, but the technology didn’t go away. Those that survived – the Amazons and the eBays – turned out to be the dominant players,”
There are many prominent players in the market who support Cunliffe’s statement.
Jon Cunliffe believes that it doesn’t matter how bad things are happening in the market right now, there will always be a time when the markets rise again and dominate the world.
He further strengthened his statement by saying:
