The Boring Company (TBC), Elon Musk’s tunnel construction business, has started enabling users to pay for journeys on its Las Vegas transportation system using Dogecoin (DOGE).
Elon Musk, the creator of TBC, appeared to corroborate the report on Wednesday by tweeting in response to it: “Supporting Doge wherever feasible.”
Doge’s acceptance in future
According to a story published on Wednesday by CNBC, BitPay’s new payment option first appeared on July 1, one day after the debut of the company’s new Loop station at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Support for Dogecoin payments on Loop is the newest integration for Musk’s network of companies.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s declaration in December that the electric car manufacturer will start accepting DOGE for select goods transactions caused Dogecoin’s value to rise by 25%.
Musk stated that he will increase the SpaceX payment option in May 2022, despite the fact that there was little to no price change.
At the time of writing, Dogecoin’s price was $0.06851, up around 1.15 percent over the previous day.
Elon Musk, the man behind The Boring Company, did not publicly endorse the new payment method, but he seems to have done so when he wrote in a tweet response to one about it, “Supporting Doge wherever feasible.”
The same day, DogeDesigner, a graphic designer for the Dogecoin Foundation, sent a video to his 13,600 Twitter followers in which he is shown using BitPay to purchase 37.52 DOGE for a day pass and utilizing the Vegas Loop reservation website.
The fourth stop on the 1.7-mile Las Vegas Convention Center Loop is the new Loop station, which is tucked away beneath Resorts World Las Vegas, an integrated resort.

Passengers can board Tesla-branded human-driven electric vehicles to travel between stations.
The original plans for the “hyperloop” Las Vegas intended for the use of magnetic propulsion to quickly move passenger capsules through a system of pressurized tunnels. This version considerably departs from those original plans.
The company is still striving to include autonomous vehicles in Vegas’s transit system in the future.
