BAYC, a collection of 10,000 unique NFTs, also seems to face the wrath of crypto winter. BAYC collected around $82.21 million in sales volume in June. The figure might seem impressive in comparison to other NFT collections: CryptoPunks, Axie Infinity, Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), NBA Top Shots, Moonbirds, and Meebits. But the sales volume of the popular NFT collection had experienced a decline of 63% since last month. In MAY, its sales volume amounted to roughly $223.73 million.
In June 2021, the number of unique buyers dropped. The decline in sales volume resulted in the falling transaction counts of NFTs. There were 424 unique buyers, and 748 transactions.When BAYC reached its ATH in monthly sales in January, 2022, the number of unique buyers were 937, corresponding to 1,456 transactions. By the end of January, BAYC sales were approx. $346.73 million.
However, BAYC dropped to a new high low in 2022. The sales volume reached $38.53 million, a drop of whopping $264.52 million in sales from Jan. For the first time since July 2021, the sales found to be $100 million. $109,905.94 was the average sale value for June, 53% decrease from the average sale value for Jan. The average sale value in January was around $238,139.52.
Effect On APE
Meanwhile, APE, at the start of June, was trading at $6.76. It touched a monthly high of $7 and a monthly low of $3.09. However, at the end of the month, it was about $4.62. This means APE suffered an overall decrease of 31% in the month of June. At the time of writing, the price of ApeCoin was standing at $5.03, up 1.83% in the last 24 hours. For the uninitiated, ApeCoin is a decentralized project. The project is inspired by Yuga Labs’ Bored Ape Yacht Club project.
