Epic Games is world famous gaming and technology company established in 1991 by Tim Sweeney. The company’s workplace is centred in Carolina, US.  

Epic Games holds one of the largest user bases globally. Its total user base is around 194 Million, and its monthly active user counts are around a 63Billion. 

Epic Games has a huge user base, and then it is generating a huge annual revenue of around 29 Billion. The company’s revenue in 2021 was around 6 Billion, But according to current data, the company’s income increased and touched 30 billion.      

Chief executing officer and founder of Epic Games Tim Sweeney mentioned that Epic Game would not follow the Minecraft game development company’s step regarding banning NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). 

On Wednesday, 20 July 2022, Mojang Studio programmer and developer of Minecraft games banned the collaboration with NFTs because the company believes that NFTs are not safe. On Monday, 18 July 2022, News of a hack of NFTs came into the limelight. 

The step on Banning NFTs in the gaming sector by Mojang Studio was very contentious, but Crypto-Sceptic gamers praised the initiative of banning NFTs use cases.    

Epic Games is listed among the top gaming companies of the globe and is the developer of Fortnite(The most installed and played royal battle game) that also showed keen interest in the Metaverse sector.

An Epic game user asked Tim Sweeney about the NFTs use and commented on the Epic game space on the Play store, and Sweeney wonderfully replied to the user.

According to 18 July 2022, A hack in the famous NFTs Ecosystem occurred, and the hack was performed by groups of hackers targeting several NFTs Platforms. Some believe that NFTs are not as secure as cryptocurrencies because hackers are for the last two months, hackers have been continuously targeting NFTs. Like Bored Ape, NFTs tokens got Hacked a week Ago.
