Mayor of Miami Francis X. Suarez announces the city will launch new NFT collections collaborating with the well-known Time, Mastercard, and Salesforce.
Elaborating his statement, Suares said they are planning to provide 5,000 NFTs. These NFTs are designed by 56 local artists who appear in Miami’s 56 square mile area.
Role of The Collaborating Companies
The owner of the NFT tokens will have access to Mastercard’s Priceless Miami Program. That will allow many experiences, private tours, and activities in the city. The launching of this plan on the ETH blockchain will take place this December after the ETH transition will complete.
While the company ‘Time’ acts as a Strategist in this whole concept. As the company recently noted its progress in the NFTs. The president of Keith Grossman said this concept would bring together many other brands and companies into web3.
And the software company Salesforce takes charge of the minting and selling the NFTs. Along with that, they will introduce their latest products. While their cross-chain ecosystem, Cloud NFT is in a closed pilot stage.
Suarez Demands
The Mayor wants Miami to elect a leader, especially for the crypto industry. The leader would be responsible for differently exploring the city’s planning with technology. Also, they would suggest allocating the city’s treasury reserve to bitcoin to promote the CityCoins protocol.
He also added that his initial interest was always in the Technology field. And the beginning of Crypto Winter overhauled many companies. As a result, the price of many cryptocurrencies falls.
Suarez did not make any statement about the current market condition. But he said Miami is working to shift to the Web3 platform as they are leading towards the Web3 revolution.
The Mayor further added we would persist in employing the latest technologies. That will keep our existing companies while enticing fresh ones. It would expand wealth and deliver experiences for our residents and those visiting this great city.
