Tom Brady’s Twitter Statement

Despite the fact that we could be in a crypto winter, Tom Brady thankfully has his flamethrower. The seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback throws a block of ice containing a Bitcoin with the flamethrower in a recent Twitter promo for the cryptocurrency exchange FTX. Brady blasts flames at a block of ice, melting it and releasing the Bitcoin within, while standing next to a pool and donning sandals.

Brady explains in the video, that a lot of people assume this is how you mine Bitcoin. But to purchase, sell, or trade cryptocurrency securely, you don’t need a flamethrower. Brady stated, that he’s around if anyone wants him for their 4th of July cookout, in the Monday Independence Day tweet that was posted alongside the video.

Brady’s Collaboration with FTX

Brady’s Twitter profile photo also includes laser eyes, a sign of fervor for Bitcoin adopted by supporters like MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor and El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele. Bitcoin values suddenly fell when Brady initially put laser eyes to his profile image in June 2021, prompting the quarterback to post about the decline on social media. He tweeted that the laser eyes didn’t function. At the time, he also asked whether anyone have any suggestions.

Brady has already collaborated with FTX on projects before his July 4 commercial. In June of last year, Brady and his wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen, decided to invest in FTX and sign on as brand ambassadors. The first advertisement Brady and Bündchen appeared in jointly advertised the cryptocurrency exchange in September 2021. Brady has his own crypto-related firm in addition to his work with FTX. The NFL player cofounded the NFT platform Autograph in July of last year. In a fundraising round headed by Silicon Valley companies Andreessen Horowitz and Kleiner Perkins, the company garnered $170 million earlier this year.
