Have you ever noticed that some altcoins are hot one month and then cold not long after? A lot of the price action on altcoins is based on media buzz, not a projection of future revenue like stocks.
For example, Optimism (OP), is a layer-2 network designed to make Ethereum transactions cheaper and faster. OP has been a favorite of crypto traders — until recently. The price of OP token had risen almost 400% since it was launched in May, but it has since fallen by about one-third to around $1.50 giving crypto traders pause.
Enjin (ENJ), too, has been popular with traders. It gives Web3 developers the ability to create and manage virtual goods (NFTs) on the Ethereum blockchain. It’s aimed at gaming and entertainment mostly. Trader interest in ENJ waxes and wanes. It plummeted almost 90% since March but then rose by 75% to just under 70 cents. However, in the months following the initial coin offering, the price of ENJ saw a staggering 6,000% gain (60X).
The point is, while these two crypto assets aren’t at the top of traders’ lists right now, if you had gotten in on the initial coin offering, you could have made a killing in a very short time.
The trick is finding these opportunities before the rest of the world buys them up. Here’s one such opportunity.
Uniglo (GLO) — chip on a treasure chest
Uniglo is currently in ICO mode. It’s an investment DAO that intends to collect a treasury full of digital assets of all kinds ranging from cryptocurrencies and NFTs to tokenized gold, collectibles, and even real estate.
Being a DAO, all holders of the GLO token get to vote on which assets the community will invest in and when to take profits. You don’t have to vote. You can just sit on your GLO and let everyone else do the research for you.
Two things about GLO make it the ideal ICO for both short-term traders and long-term investors. First, the treasury, which is funded by a 5% tax on all transactions, will be constantly growing no matter which way the market is headed. In fact, the more volatile the market, the faster the treasury grows.
Second, two different burn mechanisms assure that GLO is eternally deflationary. That means that tokens are constantly being removed from the circulating supply thus raising the price of the token. A 1% royalty on all aftermarket sales of GLO is burned. Also, profits from investment activities can be spent to burn tokens if it looks like the price needs a boost.
The GLO presale is broken up into three phases. The earlier you get in the better as there will be a burn after each round that will raise the price of the token. (The price has already gone up by 25%.) Also, after the final round, all unsold tokens will be burned. If it hasn’t sold out by then, this could dramatically increase the price of the token just before it becomes available to the public.
