500 Yen Coupons Worth Around $3.7
As part of a new programme that runs from August 10 to October 31, popular Japanese bank Shinsei Bank will begin giving incentives to clients in either XRP or BTC. The maximum rewards in the campaign are 8,000 Japanese Yen, which are currently worth about $60. According to source, these prizes will be given to consumers who fulfill certain requirements, such as those who create new accounts with the financial institution and those who carry out particular activities.
500 yen coupons worth around $3.7 will be given to customers who create a new account with Shinsei Bank, while customers who deposit their wages of at least 30,000 yen, or $225 would receive coupons worth up to 2,500 yen, or $18. The vouchers may be redeemed through email and paid out in either BTC or XRP. According to a page advertising their campaign, everyone who meets the requirements for campaign participation will get a crypto asset exchange voucher worth up to 8,000 yen that can be redeemed at SBIVC Trade for either Bitcoin (BTC) or XRP (XRP).
The Lottery Technique
The offering is made possible by a recent agreement with SBI VC Trade, the Japanese financial services major SBI’s platform for trading cryptocurrencies. A lottery technique is being used by the bank to choose 1,300 clients who made deposits during the campaign time as winners of crypto asset exchange tickets valued up to 10,000 yen.
The action was taken shortly after Shiba Inu, or SHIB, which may be the most well-known cryptocurrency in the world based on memes, and XRP, a very well-known cryptocurrency that facilitates cross-border payments, were accepted as payment options at more than 60 million businesses globally. Notably, SBI is a well-known supporter of XRP and this year provided shareholders with the opportunity to receive XRP as a prize for the third consecutive year, highlighting the company’s support for the problematic cryptocurrency.
