Decentraland is among the most popular metaverse games in the industry. The virtual world has attracted a lot of famous celebrities and organizations in the ecosystem. Recently, it announced its annual Metaverse artweek, where users can immerse into several mind-blowing events. It began on August 24 2022 and will go on till August 28 2022.
Theme of the event is based on coding dubbed, World is Made of Code. It consists of equations, numbers, codes, formulas and more. As per the blog post, coding is the core element in digital worlds such as Decentraland. Organizations like OpenSea, Sotheby’s, Rarible and more will take part in one of the most popular metaverse landmark events.
It will include an Audio Art Tour, where the users need to enter the game, find a dispenser containing a headphone, sport it on the virtual avatar to listen to the audio tour. Another event dubbed Frida Kahlo Family Red House. Frida was a popular painter based in Mexico. Salma Hayek, one of the most well-liked actresses portrayed the character of the artist in the 2022 movie Frida. The event will unveil the first half of the artist’s life and never seen before artworks.
The biggest NFT platform OpenSea will exhibit a unique infinite gallery, where the entrants can witness every single non-fungible token available on the marketplace. Rarible, another NFT platform, will present its co-curated exhibition with the Decentraland Foundation. Users can immerse themselves in this experience in the game’s beehive room.
Virtual Worlds like Decentraland are popular among the celebrities. In October 2021, Paris Hilton joined hands with the Genies and Decentraland to host a digital event as a DJ. Similarly, Justin Bieber and Travis Scott have given an appearance in Fortnite, a battle royale game and metaverse.
