Leading Ethereum miners are planning to shift their computational power to cloud computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Ethereum miners are moving a step ahead of the network consensus mechanism – The Merge.

The Merge is expected to take place between 13-16th September, 2022 switching Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-State. This will eliminate the need for huge data consumption and reduce it majorly by 99.95%.

Hive Blockchain, a Canadian crypto miner, was seemingly skeptical of the Merge. However, this Tuesday miner said the team is testing other crypto coins that are mineable with its fleets of GUI with cloud computing and AI applications.

Meanwhile, another Canadian crypto miner, HUT 8, is diversifying into high performing computing techniques since the start of the year. The miner, on Tuesday, said the latest computing tech will help the customers get a customized solution via AI, Machine Learning, or VFX rendering services.

Numerous ethereum miners have set a pilot project running at a Tier 3 data center. The companies are using A40 GPU cards applied to cloud computing. There are plenty of instances where the Ethereum miners will make a change after the Merge.

One such theory suggests that the miners will redirect the mining rigs to the Ethereum Classic, which is the splinter network that emerged from 2016 amid a hack which was approximately 60 Million USD.

Ethereum is performing dramatically high on the crypto market ever since the announcement of the Merge. The Bellatrix will enable Ethereum to change its mechanism from proof of work to Proof-of-Stake.
