  • Algorand (ALGO) network trusts Solana (SOL) more than Helium (HNT) while voting began on the migrational offer.
  • The two top-ranking officers of Algorand requested Helium developers to re-examine their point of view on Solana as ALGO’s network proposes a better choice.

The chief technology officer of Algorand, John Woods, posted on Twitter stating that the blockchain of ALGO fulfills the requirement of Helium for “a protected, strong and extensible chain.”

This opinion of John woods was also reposted by the chief executive officer and founder of Algorand, Silvio Micali. He clarified that the company is all set to back Helium with its “protected, extensible and truly decentralised blockchain.”

An algorand-centered blockchain VC company that has also invested in Helium, Borderless Capital is also very interested in wireless network developers and wants them to re-examine their shift to Solana.

Borderless Capital wishes the group to hold on to its vote on Solana migration, and it should initially examine the offers from other blockchain networks.

Helium examined other blockchains also

Arman Dezfuli-Arjomandi, the anchor of a very famous Helium-centered podcast, The Hotspot, disclosed a Discord discussion that revealed that HNT developers prefer Solana over any other chains for many reasons.

If we go through the screenshot, the justifications add a trustworthy scalability plan, a vast and varying environment, many proofs of physical projects, the price of each transaction, firmness, and certainty of L1, etc.

It is clear from the Discord screenshot that the developers reviewed other blockchains like Polkadot (DOT), Ethereum (ETH), Polygon (MATIC), Avalanche (AVAX), and Algorand before going for Solana.

The Helium has begun voting on the HIP70 proposal so far.

The HIP70 proposal will witness the Helium network “shift Proof-of-Coverage and Data Transfer Accounting to devoted Helium oracles and shifts Helium’s tokens and authority to the Solana blockchain.”

At the time of writing, more than 2500 votes have been given, and almost 75% of these votes back the planned shift to Solana, and at the same time, some people are totally against it.

It is said that the voting will continue for the next eight days.
