The concept of Metaverse has seen significant changes since its emergence and so does people’s perception towards it. South Korea is among the leading and enthusiastic countries towards the metaverse. The country has proposed their plan to reach under top-five position in metaverse leading countries across the world in the upcoming five years. The journey even took off with capital city Seoul stepping into the digital space. Recently, a mid-sized industrial city of South Korea also reported to take similar initiative.
Significance of Changwon in Metaverse
Changwon is situated at the southeast coastal region of peninsular country. The coastal city has a lot to do with trade and so does with industries. The city has plans to take its industrial complex in digital space also. Recreation of this complex will be helpful in promoting businesses and products within the virtual world.
The digital industrial complex will be also subjected to test the advanced technologies and figure out their future predictions. Changwon will be created using twin technology. Using this tech will make it possible to create an exact copy of a physical complex with every minute detail.
The project of creating a digital industrial complex is under supervision of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix. Moreover, the budget for the project is said to be around 13 billion Korean won, which is equivalent to approx 9.07 million USD.
As mentioned earlier, Changwon is an industrial city and it has a population of around 1.07 million. The city has a significant number of businesses accounting for 2,871 businesses which employed approx 122,625 people.
